Two-thirds of those diagnosed with vitiligo struggle with mental health
The largest ever UK survey of over 700 people with vitiligo reveals the scale of mental health distress among almost two-thirds (63%) of people diagnosed with the skin condition. Eight in ten people said vitiligo negatively impacts their appearance and almost half (46%) felt isolated and depressed. The #LetsTalkVitiligo campaign, launched by The Vitiligo Society, urgently addresses the lack of awareness and understanding among healthcare professionals (HCPs) and the public.
