Our understanding of the pathogenesis of both psoriasis (PsO) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) has increased over the past decade.1, 2 This has resulted in better care and more treatment options for people living with these conditions.2,3 With more options for physical treatment, it is incumbent on the healthcare community to look beyond just the physical symptoms, and to consider the impact that a more holistic care approach can have for patients. A more holistic approach should include mental health and wellbeing. This is particularly relevant in the current environment of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which poses additional challenges to mental wellbeing for all, but particularly for those with conditions that may be exacerbated by stress, such as PsO and PsA.4
