Atopic dermatitis – clinical studies

This spring issue of Dermatology in Practice includes an article from Linda Stein Gold on long-term clinical studies of non-steroidal topical medication for atopic dermatitis. As Linda says: “Atopic dermatitis can have a huge impact on quality of life for a lot of patients, especially those with moderate or severe disease. It impacts children as well as adults and can be all-consuming. When patients’ skin has a rash and itches, it’s something they think about all day, every day – it itches, it hurts and they notice when their skin bleeds. It can affect whether or not they go to school, whether or not they go to work and how they feel about taking part in social gatherings.”
