Key management points of hand eczema

Hand eczema is a common multifactorial inflammatory skin condition. It is labelled as chronic if it is active for more than three months or recurs twice or more within a 12-month period.1 Hand eczema may be allergic or irritant in nature. It has a major psychological and economic impact on individuals and communities, as it is the most common occupational dermatitis, resulting in many job losses, absences from work and disabilities.
